What is the world's favourite holiday destination?

Well, France had more foreign visitors than any other country in 2012, though the world's most visited capital city may now be Bangkok, according to one study.

A United Nations World Tourism Organization study shows that 83 million people visited France in 2012 - which is more than its population of 66 million! Perhaps the fact that France can offer the visitor everything from Alpine ski stations to Mediterranean resorts, expansive and unspoiled countryside to impressive chateaux is what has ensured that it has kept the top spot every year that statistics have been compiled!
