This traditional, tastefully modernised home sits on the edge of the Highland village of Kinlochleven and offers bright, welcoming self catering accommodation. It has a driveway to the front bordered by flowerbeds and a fully enclosed, pet friendly well tended side and rear garden. All bed linen and towels are supplied.

Nestled at the head of a picturesque sea loch between the towering Glencoe and Nevis mountain ranges, Kinlochleven is ideally situated for a broad variety of outdoor pursuits including hill walking, fishing, climbing, skiing, water sports, mountain biking and golf. It is also on the route of the West Highland Way long distance walking trail which links Glasgow to Fortwilliam. The Ice Factor is located in the village and boasts the largest indoor ice climbing wall in Europe.

With stunning, unspoilt mountain and loch scenery all around, Kinlochleven is also well placed for touring and exploring by car or motorcycle the Highlands and numerous Islands for which the Scottish West Coast is renowned.

Welcome to Cairnbaan Hotel, a stylish, relaxed and pleasant place that has been awarded three stars and a rosette with the AA. Cairnbaan is also among only 12 Hotels given the status of Scotland's Heritage Hotels.

The Cairnbaan Hotel is situated at Lock 5, approximately halfway along the 9 mile-long Crinan Canal. It can be reached from the north (Inveraray) on the A83 or the A816 (Oban), or from the Cowal peninsula on the Tarbert - Portavadie ferry. To the south is Kintyre and the Isle of Arran via the Claonaig - Lochranza ferry. During its course from Ardrishaig northwards to Crinan Loch, the canal passes through some of Argyll's most outstanding countryside, and its 15 locks and 7 swing bridges provide added interest for visitors. For the sporting guest, golf is available at the nearby Lochgilphead Golf Club. The excellent fishing includes facilities for Sea Angling and Salmon Fishing. Many attractive Hill Forest Walks are to be found in the vicinity of the Hotel and walking or cycling along the Crinan Canal is a popular pursuit. The hotel is an easy drive from the nearby village of Tayvallich. There is so much to see and do.

We have 12 luxurious and relaxing rooms, all individually designed and well equipped with some additional touches.

At Munro's relax and enjoy our quiet location up on the hill in Ardbeg. Our large garden has marvellous views over the bay and on beautiful mornings you can have your breakfast on the terrace.

You may even spot a fish in the lily-pond. All our beautifully decorated rooms are all ensuite - one with a whirlpool bath - and also include flat screen TV's, wireless broadband access, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, lovely soft bathrobes, speciality teas and luxury toiletries.

Come into Munro's and have a look around. This is our guest sittingroom. In the winter we have a roaring log fire and you are welcome to borrow a book and relax here in its cosy glow.

The conservatory is adjacent and we serve breakfast here. The views are fantastic and the room is warmed by underfloor heating on chilly mornings.

Allt-Na-Craig House offers a superb standard of accommodation in all of its en-suite bedrooms, with views either over Loch Fyne and Loch Gilp, or our well tended gardens. Situated in the old fishing village of Ardrishaig, Argyll, we are well positioned for nearby activities, such as plentiful walks, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, cycle hire the list is endless. Places of interest including Crinan Canal, Kilmartin House Museum with it's wonderful coffee shop and standing stones. For business travellers we are a stones throw away from the Argyll and Bute Council offices, minutes from the ferry terminals to Islay, Gigha and Arran. Oban is an hour up the road and is the gateway to the Western Isles. Allt-Na-Craig, the former childhod home of Kenneth Grahame, author of the famous novel Wind in the WIllows, is a superior five room accomodation consisting of superior double, standard double, twin, single and family room, we also have a cottage to the rear of the house to help accomodate larger parties. The licenced dining room serves home cooked food made from local ingredients on our lovely Red Aga. The drawing room with open fire and plentiful supply of reading material is an ideal place to unwind, often seen from the window are a family of red squirrels as they feed from the peanut feeder, dolphins, otters and seals in the loch, and deer wondering round the garden. Allt-Na-Craig is very much a home from home, children welcome and well behaved dogs by prior arrangement.
