The Holmsdale Hotel is a CHILD FREE ZONE. A select, quiet hotel privately owned and run and offering the guest quality accommodation in relaxing, informal surroundings with en-suite rooms and lift to all floors. We do accept young adults of 14 and over.

Every effort is made to make our guests stay as pleasurable as possible, with friendly personal service at all times and attention to every detail.

Twin and double rooms available, but no family rooms - so the hotel cannot cater for children.

Food is given top priority at the Holmsdale. Guests enjoy a wide choice of menus and appreciate the high quality of cuisine, with portions to suit all appetites. Our Cocktail Bar provides the opportunities to enjoy drinks before or after your meal. Comfortable smoking and non-smoking bedrooms, all individually designed and tastefully furnished are fully centrally heated and equipped with colour TVs and tea/coffee making facilities.

Both the TV lounge and sun lounge give guests the opportunity to relax, read the papers and meet new friends.

Set in tranquil surroundings with 13 acres of lake and deciduous woods only minutes from Junction 35 of the M6 motorway, Redwell Fisheries is located in a small valley between the lovely market town of Kirkby Lonsdale and Carnforth.

Privately owned and run, this is a perfect base to explore the coast or beautiful surrounding countryside and is only half a hour from Blackpool, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

Our new, picturesque and well laid out touring caravan site opened in July 2000 and can accommodate up to 18 units. It has already proved to be a very popular base for cyclist, walkers and bird watchers, not to mention those hardened anglers who will sit patiently for many hours waiting for the big one to come along - and there are plenty of them in the waters of Redwell Fisheries!

SELF CATERING
We have two self catering apartments available, one of which is suitable for disabled guests.  The apartments overlook the lake where you will have a prime fishing area. Both apartments are comfortably furnished and centrally heated.

Your car can be parked just a few yards from the front door of the apartment. Cycles and fishing tackle can be safely stored in a secure locked area if required.

The apartments can be booked for seven nights commencing on a Saturday, four nights commencing on a Monday, or three nights commencing on a Friday.

CARAVAN SITE
This is a small, beautifully situated touring caravan site, with room for 18 caravans. Excellent amenities including a new toilet block with showers and disabled facilities.

Both hard standing and grass pitches are available (with plenty of room for awnings). Each unit has electrical hook-up points, drinking water, waste water drainage system and TV aerial point.

Parr Hall Farm was built in 1721 by a gentleman farmer called Edward Parr. The property has had a chequered history, but still retains some of its original features. In the 19th century a rear wing was added as a harness room to service horse-drawn buses. Later this became Ellison's Motor Bus Company that plied between Preston, Wigan and Chorley markets.

The area is served by a wide variety of good pubs, restaurants and cafes. Within a short walking distance are The Original Farmers Arms, Verdes Italian restaurant and a cafe. The village also has two other public houses and a wine bar.

Eccleston has many amenities including a bank with cash point, a small supermarket, two post offices and a reliable taxi service.

The area provides access to a wide range of activities including golf, fishing, horse riding, cycling and walking opportunities, about which we will be pleased to give advice. Eccleston also provides a good base for trips to areas such as the Lake District, North Wales and the coastal areas of Blackpool, Southport and Lytham St Annes.

The farm was purchased by its present owners, Mike and Kate Motley, in 1972 and has been extensively modernised and refurbished.

Guest accommodation was opened in 1996. A recent barn conversion has provided additional accommodation, including five rooms on the ground floor.

The accommodation offered is of a high standard and unique quality. All the bedrooms are spacious, individually furnished and equipped with, En-suite bathroom, Tea and coffee making facilities, Free WiFi Internet, Colour Television, Radio Alarm, Shaver point, Hairdryer.
