Description:
This comfortable 'bed and breakfast' sits in between the hills of MacLeod's Tables and Loch Pooltiel, with views over lovely open Glendale with its hills and crofts, river and wide sky scapes and sea views to the outer islands. The first thing you might notice is the peace, the colour and light show as sun sets over the giant cliffs, loch and islands viewed from Glendale. Golden and sea eagles, buzzards and song birds swoop and chatter, lapwings and curlew, forage in the moorland. Glendale supports wild flowers, herbs, amazing bright mosses and lichens among wonderful wetland plants. Thrift and rockrose grow in the salty rock margins at the loch side. Seals, whales, dolphins and basking sharks can be seen in the waters, all manner of fish and crustaceans and sea anemones at Neist Point, otter and stoat play shyly in the shadows.
