All our 11 bedrooms are en-suite. We have limited car parking space, but ample car parking is available close by.

The quality of the Sandgate is recognised by the warm and friendly welcome you will receive. We are located just south of the town centre, which is on the way into Blackpool from the M55. Blackpool Tower, Central Promenade, the Winter Gardens, the Grand Theatre and the shops, markets, and restaurants are only a 10-15 minute walk.

If you are visiting Blackpool for the Illuminations it is only a short walk to catch a tram to wonder at the magic of the Golden Mile and the 5 miles of the Lights.

You will receive a very warm and friendly welcome from Heather and Keith. We are in our third year at the Carlee but we are experienced hoteliers, having previously run hotels in Newquay and Weymouth. The quality of the Carlee is recognised with our Quality Plus award.

We have a guaranteed car park space for every bedroom, with secure parking at the rear of the hotel. We have 11 bedrooms:

• 6 double rooms (including two on the ground floor)
• 1 single room

All have central heating, double-glazing, colour TV and complimentary tea/coffee. Our bedrooms are all a good size, with well-appointed en suites.

Welsh Retreat, Carmarthenshire, West Wales:

Stay and unwind in our luxurious ecological barn conversion or cosy cottage set in our 12-acre smallholding with bluebell woodlands, river and meadow. Also studio space for workshops etc..

The Barn: (max 8 adults & 2 children) - renovated and run on ecological principles. Designed for group accommodation.

The Cottage: (1 double & 1 single room) is a homely and self contained space suitable for workshop leaders or small gatherings.

The Studio: You can hire our light, airy studio to run workshops, classes and rehearsals for art / music / yoga / writing etc.
